Gandhi Bhavan

Located beside the Khadi Bhavan in kumara Krupa Road in Bangalore, the Gandhi Bhavan is a place where one can get a complete insight of Gandhiji's life and teachings. Started mainly as the 'Gandhi Smarak Nidhi' under the chairmanship of Dr Rajendra Prasad, the primary aim of Gandhi Bhavan in Bangalore was to propagate Gandhian philosophies and ideals among the people of the state, especially among the youth.
Today the Gandhi Bhavan, Bangalore houses the Gandhi Smarak Nidhi along with a picture gallery that boasts of rare photos of Mahatma Gandhi from his childhood till the last day ofhis life. Also there are numerous Photostat copies of the letters penned by 'bapu' during his life span.
As the main aim of Gandhi Bhavan is to spread the life and teachings of the great Bapu, today the place servesas a venue for numerous meetings, sessions and seminars based on Gandhiji.While a special program is arranged on 2nd of October, every year to celebrate his birthday, several seminars and programs are held through out the year here.

Activities at Gandhi Bhavan in Bangalore:
- Organizes lectures, seminars and sessions on Gandhiji's life, work and philosophies.
- Conducts examinations/tests for high school students in Kannada language
- Sells various literatures and books relating to the work and life of the Father of the Nation.
Timings:
10.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Lunch Break is from 1.30 p.m. to 3.00 p.m.
Remains closed on Sundays/General Holidays.
